When starting a business, you know in your head why, but what’s the message you want to share that comes from deep within? That’s what today is all about!
The message I want to share most with the world is…
Reflection, Thoughts, Feelings
When I started selling my art back in 2005, I wanted to create extra income. It wasn’t like I really needed to work as I was a stay-at-home mom but I wanted to. There’s something nice about having your own money no matter how the finances are being handled at home.
I didn’t get serious with my art until much later and it’s now one of my primary ways of income. The other primary source of income is coaching and consulting. The message I want to share most with the world is that you can forge your own path and your life doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.
I believe that the ideas and dreams that are coming to you, are meant for you and you owe it to yourself to explore them to the fullest. Yes, some ideas aren’t going to work out well but there is that one idea that will completely change your life.
You can have hobbies and multiple streams of income. You can have a job/career working for someone else and still have an epic kind of life. Not all goals need to be around starting and building a business. Maybe you just want to embrace a hobby that lights up your life.
My hobby is hiking, working out, and going to concerts and music festivals. Not anything out of the world but they are for me because they bring me joy, peace, and happiness.
When I started my coaching and consulting business, I didn’t know what my niche was or should be. I just knew I wanted to help people – that is what I am here to do. One of the things I realized though is that creatives like myself are often asked to sacrifice our multiple passions. We’re also asked to stick to societal programming that was deemed to be a good solid life. And none of this aligned with me.
I am a natural non-conformist, when I see people jump on the bandwagon of something, I always go the other way, no matter how amazing that thing is. I may come around sometime later but that’s a rare occurrence for me.
I remember when I first started connecting with other entrepreneurs online they sold people on
- wanting to go to Bali
- drive fancy cars
- wanting to go to Paris
- and a few other lavish things
None of those really resonate with me! I’ve been to Paris already, I just don’t have any interest to go to Bali and I don’t need a fancy car to flash around. For me, my goal was to create an income that allowed me to stay home with my son due to his needs from transplant and disabilities.
Along the way, I know that helping creatives, multi-passionates, and those that identify as rebels, are my people. We’re introverts, who want does work doing our passions all day long, knowing it’ll switch here and there, and create a life that brings us joy, peace, and happiness.
I believe it evolves around goal setting and so I became a goal success coach. We’re all so different and my mission is to help people align goals with who they are and make them work for them. My message is all about creating an impact!
